Roles and Responsibilities

Independent Dispatcher:
• Manage the day-to-day coordination of freight movement, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
Maintain constant communication with carriers, drivers, and customers to provide updates and resolve any transportation
issues.
• Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and optimize routing efficiency.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and establish long-term partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Independent Drayage Dispatcher:
• Focus on dispatching over-the-road (OT) carriers for long-haul transportation.
• Plan efficient routes and schedules to optimize fuel efficiency and minimize transit times.
•Address any driver-related issues, providing support and resolving concerns.
•Collaborate with the safety team to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
•Monitor weather conditions and road closures to make real-time adjustments.

Requirements
•Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a logistics-related role (specific years may vary based on the position).
•In-depth knowledge of the transportation industry, regulations, and best practices.
•Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
•Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Proficient in using transportation management systems and other relevant software.
